NASCA Press Release: Daniel Kruger Announced as 20 Under 40 Award Recipient
Lexington, KY — The National Association of State Chief Administrators (NASCA) proudly announces Daniel Kruger, M.Ed., Chief Strategy Officer at the National Association of State Procurement Officials (NASPO), as a NASCA 2025 20 Under 40 Award winner. This prestigious award recognizes 20 outstanding individuals from across the country for their exceptional contributions to state government.
At NASPO, Kruger supports a team of program directors that provides strategic support to the association of fifty state procurement offices, the District of Columbia, and U.S. Territories. Kruger played a key role in launching the NASPO Partnership Program in 2021, fostering collaboration with peer associations to elevate public procurement.
NASPO CEO Lindle Hatton commended Kruger’s leadership and dedication to service.
“Dan’s achievements at such a pivotal stage in his career are nothing short of remarkable. I am so proud of his hard work and dedicated service to those in the procurement profession and those who support them – it is making a real impact. Dan exemplifies the kind of visionary, values-driven leadership that shapes industries and uplifts organizations.”
Hatton continued, “We’re proud to see Dan’s efforts celebrated on such a distinguished platform and we’re even more excited to see what the future holds for him.”
Before joining NASPO, Kruger spent much of his career in higher education as a staff and faculty member and earned his M.Ed. in 2016. He offers a deep understanding of public issues that impact the procurement community and champions strategic engagement and solutions.
