NASCA Press Release: Darin Seeley Announced as 2026 NASCA President
Pierre, SD — The National Association of State Chief Administrators is proud to announce that Darin Seeley, Commissioner of the South Dakota Bureau of Human Resources and Administration, has been named the 2026 NASCA President.
As President, Commissioner Seeley will play a key role in shaping the priorities of NASCA and supporting the organization’s commitment to fostering collaboration and innovation among state members and public sector partners across the nation. Commissioner Seeley most recently served as the 2025 NASCA Vice President, where he demonstrated a strong commitment to the organization and its mission by supporting NASCA programs and initiatives.
“Commissioner Seeley has demonstrated exceptional leadership and an unwavering commitment to NASCA throughout his tenure as Vice President, and it has been an honor to work for him,” said NASCA Executive Director Elizabeth Whitehouse. “His dedication to serving our members has been both consistent and impactful, and on behalf of NASCA, we are excited to see the vision, passion, and integrity he will bring to this next chapter of leadership.”
“I am humbled by the trust placed in me by the members of NASCA,” said Commissioner Seeley. “I look forward to helping them and their teams grow and succeed through the programs our organization provides.”
Commissioner Seeley’s commitment to NASCA values – collaboration, shared learning, and operational excellence – combined with his prior experience make him the ideal leader for the organization in 2026. NASCA is proud to welcome Commissioner Seeley as its 2026 President and looks forward to a year of continued growth and progress for state government operations.
