National Ray Walton Leadership Award
NASCA’s premier leadership award recognizes State Chief Administrators who demonstrate outstanding service, leadership, and a lasting commitment to state government operations. Named in honor of former NASCA Executive Director Ray Walton, the award celebrates CAOs whose accomplishments and leadership exemplify the highest standards of public service.
Distinguished Deputy Award
The Distinguished Deputy Award recognizes exceptional deputy directors and senior leaders within a State Chief Administrator’s office. The award honors individuals whose leadership, accomplishments, and service have made a significant and positive impact on their state and the administration of state government.
Government Operations Champion Award
The Government Operations Champion Award recognizes a state government leader who champions efficient, effective, and equitable government operations. Honorees demonstrate a commitment to strengthening the way government works and improving the experience of the customers and citizens it serves.
Excellence Through Collaboration Award
The Excellence Through Collaboration Award celebrates a state and its corporate or non-corporate partner for working together to deliver meaningful results. The award recognizes innovative partnerships, programs, projects, or services that create measurable public value and positively impact the state and its citizens.
Innovation in State Government Awards
The Innovation in State Government Awards recognize outstanding programs, projects, and initiatives led by state administration departments that demonstrate leading practices in government operations. Awards recognize innovative approaches, strong implementation strategies, measurable results, and ideas that can help inspire progress across states.
Award categories include: Procurement Modernization; Customer Service & Experience; Digital Services, Data Management, Analytics & Visualization; Employee Engagement and Experience; Transformation; and Facilities and Real Estate Optimization.
