The National Association of State Chief Administrators (NASCA), an association devoted to state chief administrators (CAOs) has selected a top state government leader from Nebraska, Jason Jackson, Director of Administrative Services, to serve as NASCA’s Research and Policy Committee chair. The Research and Policy Committee, made of state government and private sector thought leaders from around the country, is responsible for setting the direction of the association’s national research and policy agenda.

Jason Jackson was appointed Director of Administrative Services in December 2018. Jason has extensive experience in human resources and administration, currently serving as Governor Ricketts’ Chief Human Resources Officer and Nebraska State Personnel Director. Jason is former administrator of a computer software company and Naval Officer.

“NASCA Research and Policy Committee aims to curate and disseminate best practices, success stories, and case studies and advocate for resources and strategies necessary to modernize state government operations. We are honored to have Jason Jackson, a national leader we have highlighted in past case studies, leading the NASCA Research agenda,” said Jamie Rodgers, NASCA’s Deputy Director.

“In Nebraska we seek to run government like a business by applying best practices from organizations like NASCA,” said Jackson.  “I’m excited to join NASCA’s leadership and share good government business practices with our member states throughout the country.”
