
The Distinguished Deputy Award was established to recognize a deputy of a state chief administrator for outstanding contributions of the work of state administration.
Eligibility:

Nominees must currently serve as a deputy.

All NASCA State Primary (Chief Administrators) AND Secondary (Department Staff) members are eligible to nominate a current deputy.

Nominees (i.e. the state) for this award must be current members with NASCA.
Criteria:
The Distinguished Deputy Award shall be awarded for either a single significant achievement or a career of accomplishments which have had a significant, positive impact on the award recipient’s state.
- In the case of a single achievement, the accomplishment must be a notable project which has had a major positive impact on the administration of the state.
- In the case of a career of accomplishments, the career achievements must have had a cumulative significant positive impact on the administration of the state.
