NASCA Spring Conference - Notice of Cancellation

Wednesday, April 1, 2020

NASCA is dedicated to the health and safety of all members, speakers and participants as well as our staff. As a team, we appreciate your patience as we monitored the ever-changing situation related to the COVID-19 pandemic in relation to upcoming events.

The Executive Committee examined many different scenarios and came to the difficult decision to cancel the 2020 Spring Conference in Indianapolis, Indiana. After careful review of CDC guidelines and state executive orders, NASCA leaders determined that cancelling the May 11-13, 2020, conference would be in the best interest of all attendees.

We are actively working on innovative opportunities to deliver the world-class content that NASCA is known for at our in-person events. Presenters will share content knowledge and resources and dedicate time to dialogue with members. NASCA also is offering new strategies such as state collaboratives, virtual connections and a Thought Leadership Series as a mechanism to get critical education to you during these challenging times.

In addition, we are moving full steam ahead on the Institute on Leadership and Management scheduled for October 2020 in Sacramento, California. The current plan is to expand the structure, bringing in components of NASCA’s traditional Spring Conference along with the highly anticipated case study reviews and executive education from our Harvard Leadership for a Networked World partners. As you might expect, our focus will be heavily concentrated on lessons learned in state government operations during the Coronavirus outbreak.

Our entire NASCA team values your commitment to the association and is determined to provide all members with the thoughtful and deliberate knowledge that helps guide your work. Please continue to utilize Collaborate as a vehicle for collegial sharing of ideas and resources and follow us on social media for further updates.
