NASCA Spring Conference 2020 Update

NASCA is dedicated to the health and safety of all members, speakers and participants as well as our staff. As a team, we appreciate your patience as we monitored the ever-changing situation related to the COVID-19 pandemic in relation to upcoming events.

The Executive Committee examined many different scenarios and came to the difficult decision to cancel the 2020 Spring Conference in Indianapolis, Indiana. After careful review of CDC guidelines and state executive orders, NASCA leaders determined that cancelling the May 11-13, 2020, conference would be in the best interest of all attendees.

Who We Are:

NASCA's Mission is to help state chief administrators (CAOs) and their teams strategically transform state government operations through the power of shared knowledge and thought leadership.

Founded in 1976, the National Association of State Chief Administrators (NASCA), is a non-partisan, nonprofit, 501(c)3 association representing state chief administrators. NASCA’s primary state government members are Cabinet level and senior public officials that oversee the departments that provide operational support to other state agencies. Common areas of oversight by NASCA’s primary member can include general services, procurement, facilities, information technology, risk management, accounting, budget, human resources, and more. NASCA encourages the participation by deputy directors and senior level staff that support the state chief administrators.

NASCA's Call for Institute Case Studies Open

The Institute Planning Committee is working to identify two "live case studies" related to the Institute theme, the Pathways to Maximizing Public Value. The case studies will drawn from real-world experiences that outline complex and relevant situations that any member of NASCA may encounter. 

All case study submissions must be submitted via an online form by April 17, 2020.

NASCA COVID-19 Resources

As we keep a watchful eye on COVID-19 and how the pandemic impacts our states, staff have collected policy and practice resources from our members, strategic partners, like-minded associations, entities such as the CDC and our corporate partners. As the situation is ever-changing, we will continuously monitor state responses and provide resources on a regular basis. All members are encouraged to respond to the Call for Resources and share detailed information and links to be included on the NASCA website.
