NASCA
Facts
The National Association
of State Chief Administrators brings together chief officials from administration
and general services to discuss matters of mutual concern and to exchange
information and ideas.
By promoting interstate
communication and showcasing innovative programs, NASCA helps members
to implement public policy and to improve government efficiency and effectiveness.
NASCA also provides annual leadership development to newly-appointed administration
and general services officials. Formed in 1976, this association includes
members from all 50 states, the U.S. territories and the District of Columbia.
NASCA
membership is drawn from the department in state government which is primarily
responsible for administration and general services management. Each state,
territory or federal district may have an unlimited number of members
- the department head and any designees directly charged with delivering
administration and general services. In addition, corporate membership
is offered to organizations and businesses interested in working with
state leaders to improve government operations.
NASCA is an affiliated organization of The Council of State Governments (CSG). CSG is a non-profit, non-partisan service organization established, supported, and directed by all of the states to serve as a liaison among state, federal and private sectors.
